Lockers?

I will say I am a little biased right off the bat.

I have a D44 Zip Locker and a D30 Zip in my daily driver JK with 33's. The rear has been in 16,000, the front 23,000 with zero problems with the lockers.

I don't wheel as much as I'd like to, but the rig has been to Moab (2X), Naches (3X), Walker (4X), Moses, and playing around the C.O.R.E. course in the year and a half I've had it, and I do wheel hard enough to bend control arm mounts. :redneck:

The only problem I've had was installer error:redface: (I ran the air line to the back too close to the exhaust, and it melted)

Hah...This was the only issue Don had with his rear...he too mounted the line too close to the exhaust! Since this little debacle, he's had zero issues as well on his Waggie D44's...

Very good, Im glad to hear that... I may give them a try... im assuming that they have the typical Yukon warranty?

I second the vote of the ECTED Being a pile. Mine no longer locks after about 5 wheeling trips, and 2000 road miles. I am going to an air locker as soon as $$ allows. Be curious to hear about the zip lockers.

OK I was lookin at one anyone have any real life experience with them

Yes, that's why I commented that they are a complete piece of ****.

They are not a true mechanical locker. They "lock" the axles together by applying more pressure to the limited slip clutches. ANY wear at all on the clutches and it doesn't lock. It was a unit originally designed for OE suppliers, not to be used in wheeling the way we do. To echo my statement, PIECE OF ****, run away. :haha:
