It was something along the lines of only buy these shafts for mini truck axles. Might have been RCV's but can't remember.

RCV is all you need to know when it comes to yota axles.

No more discussion necessary :****:

This.

FWIW, my 4Runner has a set of Nitro's in it that were originally in my old Xtra Cab before I went to Tons. They have held up for around 5 years now, but I will probably grab a set of RCV's sometime this year and carry my Nitro's as spares. As cheap as Yota chromolys are its almost dumb not to carry a spare set IMO. Putting a stock birf back in even to finish a weekend is pointless.

RCV's all day long. MADE IN THE USA!

i have a set in my rig, and i have a friend that has a set in a buggy with a 5.0/toy trans/4.7s in t-case/and toy axles with 5.29s/ on 39 REDS and they have held up to full throttle a number of times.

so that showed me that i should not have any issues with them in a 4 cyl. unless its just something crazy. Just my opinion.

Re:

That's what I was thinking. Just couldn't remember who sold out and bobby long that. Good price on them anywhere? I am ordering in the next two days. Gonna try and put this in an Angry Fab buggy by the end of the year.

Check all your favorite vendors, most sell RCV.

They were running a choice of either Hub gears or Drive flanges when you ordered an axle set.

i went with drive flanges on mine because it will never see the street.

Just a little tip if you get the flanges, both on mine and my friends we had to take a little bit of material off of the dust caps to get them to seat over the end of the flange correctly. for what its worth that may save you some headache beating on them.

Harlan would be the only street use....maybe a mile or two. So, I should probably do drive flanges too

When my shitty Yota spanks your jeep up Youtube, I will let you polish my rcvs and wax the rust that I call paint :flipoff1:

Instead of putting 900 in a Toyota axle buy a Dana 60. No brainer.

Not this again! :P

$600, not 900....

But yeah, don't dump stupid money on a yota axle of you ever have big tire dreams or bigger than 4cyl engine...

60 for the el Jeep. Rcvs for the Yota. 38's, tube chassis from angryfab and hopefully rear steer. It will be a 22r, single case. Under 3k pounds aught to be indestructible
