Low Key Harlan Run

Sure do David, would love for you to make it. Fun place to wheel. Lots of rocks.

To make it easier we are just going to handle our own lodging.

Travis: Did Dave Reese call you about this trip? Is he coming?

We were talking about wheeling and I mentioned getting in a shakedown run before this trip and then he said he would come to. Knowing some guys think the run is too big already I said it wasn't my place to invite him but suggested he talk to you. Did he?

FWIW, I predict the run isn't too big. I think Matt O. nailed it when he said the size would drop down in the weeks leading up to the run. Who's still in?

It doesn't matter how big the ride is, Only a few can hang with the top dogs anyway. First trail lower damnation and that will divide the group in half. Next, your turn and you'll only have about 4 guys still going. :flipoff1:

Hmm, he said he was calling you as soon as he got off the phone with me. Maybe you were away from the phone? :dunno:

As for keeping up with the group, Dave should be fine. He wheels a ~3200lb 2 seater buggy with 39" red labels. I'd say it's in the same class as 90% of the other 2 seater front engine buggys I've seen. Hopefully I'll be fine too. I'm planning to get a shakedown run on the new axle before Harlan just to make sure I'm 100%. If I don't have a great trip it won't be for lack of preparation.

I'm thinking of camping at the top of cream puff to save a few bucks since I'm going to Harlan again the following weekend. Maybe I can bum a shower if you guys are going in on a house?

Not sure on lodging yet but I will be there fo sho. I think we have 6-7 rigs at this point which is fine.

I talked to Dave Reese again. As of today he doesn't see himself wheeling again until after the wedding. :dunno:

I'm doubting this ride will be the 10 rig kitten punching extravaganza it was made out to be. It should be pretty cool.
