I need some help I am new to turbos I have a ls 5.3 that I put a 70mm turbo I put a 7lb spring in the blow off valve but it still builds 20 psi+ and I dont know y it is over boosting any help would b grate I am running out of ideas thanks

you should be adjusting the spring in your waste gate not blow off valve.. Where is your waste gate located?? I had a turbo mustang and when i got the kit the waste gate was only bleedng off half the motor so i could not keep the boost below 12, rerouted the waste gate to where it bleed off both side the motor and it worked perfect

Like said above the wastegate on the on the exhaust side of the turbo is what needs adjusting. The blowoff valve is there just to keep the thorttle blade from being broken off when u let off the throttle and it shuts and all that boost has no where to go it has nothing to do with boost control that's all in ur wastegate adjustment

Just throwing this out there. I've seen some guages plumbed in to the wrong location. Boost numbers were triple what they should have been. It was on a dodge 24 valve. Never looked where exactly it was tapped in but it was wrong! Lol

If you have factory rods and you are boosting 20 +, they are very bent and you would know it. You need a line from your turbo outlet to the waste gate . Try taking the spring out and see what your boost reads, should be zero.
