maxxis treppador stickys?

HI guys . I know i have a set of trepadors for sale on this board, and i have not ran krawlers but , and i might be wrong the tires that i saw on the race winner were not krawlers. They look like some kind of hybrid desert /rock tire. Please do not hammer on me if iam mistaken. I have wheeled next to and with guys with krawlers and did not see too much difference (but my buggy only weighs 2,100 lbs and irun 2.5 psi in my tires front ones are half full of water for weight. Main reason i went to bfg is the tread width and tire height. bfg 39 in , maxxis 40+ and they are real wide at the top of the tread++++ they are hella expensive .1,700 for four new bfg reds 3,000 + for maxxis .

they were BFG desert tires with the same tread pattern as the krawlers and appeared to me to be the same sticky compound for the treads but had no sidewall treads at all.

there were a lot of rigs running them.

yeah im not sure either i just was poking my fingernail into the treads and it left an impression like the stickeys. i gota say they did ok in the rocks as the grip seemed plenty just no sidewall treads at all.

Did ya see the dude who came across the finish with the flat tire. there was very little left of the sidewall, it was one of the desert BFGs. dude was hauling ass even on the flat..:awesomework:

edit: thier site says the same compound on the tread..
