So, I have some extry money (aka winch money). I was thinking of just getting a mile marker 8000lb. Is it worth it to just buck up and get the warn 8000lb? I am also wondering if i'll need to get a second battery or anything like that to run it. I have a TBI 350 with a high output alternator (ex cop car motor:awesomework: ) Is there anything I need to really watch out for? I'm hoping to make it removable by tow hitch slider. So it can go from rig to rig. or maybe a link to another thread about this sort of thing would be nice too. Thanks:awesomework: i'm sure this is major winch repost #412439, but I'm a noob:redneck:

I did the try to save money with a milemarker on my first winch purchase. not a good idea. very cheap winch control fell apart first time i pressed the button, very slow and loud. I now have a warn and it was well worth the little extra $$.

Its just too bad they are also the worst thing you could ever put in the front of a toy--unless you don't mind your nose sticking another 5 feet in front of you

true dat. :booo: I wish someone made a nice fast hydraulic unit...
