mE wANt wInCH!!!

:awesomework: you got that right. It also can hold more rope than any other winch out there I got 150ft on mine and probably could have gottin 200ft:fawkdancesmiley:

grumpy, when you say rope I assume you're talkin amsteel? ... I'm considerin going rope on my 8274 (to shave *some* of the weight), but was never sure how long a strand I should get (at what size) ...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I LOVE how the Warn 8274 looks and works. Got mine from my dad, he bought it new in '84 i think. works as good to day as it did when he bought it. I'm in the process of putting mine behind the grill of my yota and moving the radiator to the bed. Rugged beauty.

I think it's 5/16ths from masterpull I got a good deal 150ft hook and alumanum hawse for $@@@>** sorry can't tell you.but I could have gone 200ft but I'm happy with the 150ft if I miss reel it won't bind up..:awesomework:

I've owned two different 8274s and two different M8000 as well as a Ramsey Pro9000 and a Warn 12000.

Only my first M8000 and Ramsey 9000 were bought new. I've had to put motors on a couple over the years, as well as a few solinoids.

I like the 8274 best. They seem to pull a lot harder than the rated 8000, they pull faster, they hold more cable, the cable drum doesn't ever get bound up like the low profiles do and the Warn company is local and has done a great job of standing behind products every time I've ever called them for help.

Personally i wouldnt go with 200 feet of rope on anything, For that matter i have never run over 125 feet. It tends to pinch into lower wraps and get stuck bad. More layers= more trouble. Just my opinion...thats all.

I hardly take it out 50ft for me but when my buddies are drunk and stupid I might have to take it out 80ft to reach them. And when your rig is only a few with a working winch what do you do?give them the finger and tell them to get themself out or give them a hand
