Joel will be the testing ground for rig ability vs driver skill. We know what AC and the buggy can do, what can Joel and the buggy do? :flipoff1:

Exactly, talk about pressure.... We all know what the rig is capable of.

Joel has some big shoes to fill! :woody:

Luckily, all that is expected of me is to show up: tear 1.38 sidewalls per raceday, and roll 1.54 times per day to get the fans excited.
:dunno:

well, if Joel is going to be running as well, your averages could go down a little, since he might help excite the fans! :flipgotcha:

No ****, I have already altered my tool bag with 1310's and electrical parts for this party pack. molaugh

I know, I know... Hell I stuck a small ammo can full of 1310 repair in my junk box yesterday I see this becoming a trend if I go hitting **** like Boat Ramp . laughing1

I got 1310's, I got a can of 1310's , a pallet of 1310's I got a whole warehouse of 1310's ... Knock knock , trick or treat who's there 1310's

I know, I know.

You are breaking 1310 in the front? If so, you may check for binding. They should hold up fine in the front if properly aligned.

This buggy is the first one I havehad that did not have a 1310 front driveline and I never broke one when they were not over flexed.

It might bind a little, but I just don't see a 1310 ever surviving any "rockbouncing".

Its not binding, thats why my winch is 100% all the time on the front end, if I let it fully extend both airshocks and the front end is dangling it just starts to bind.. The Caps themselves are what failed... they grenaded not the cross... unfortunately they damaged the cross the first time, we rigged it a bit and stuck some rusty crap caps back on it just to run and I hit Boat Ramp again and it popped the rusty caps again. ( Blow's the sides out of them, they stayed in place but spread the u bolts enough and with the caps broken dropped the driveshaft again) Jaime hooked me up with a spare offset Tom Woods 1310 which is what I run at the yoke out of the carrier bearing and we went on along our business. I think I probably could have hit it again and not broke the "new" tom woods joint. The one that was in there is several years old and had junk caps from use on the Turd. I've broke caps at least 4 times on that one Tom Woods u joint and until this break have just stuck stocker or whatever caps on it. The cross itself has never broke.

At the KOTH competition I broke the front output on the Tcase ( stocker , Im 32 spl now ) and the 1310s held together..

Everything has a limit. Ill beat on this "new" joint for a long time I bet before anything happens again. thumb.gif

I run a 1310 front joint as well with 44's - the same joint has been in there for almost a year now. May break putting it on the trailer next but is still in there now.

I've gotten away with alot on 1310 front shafts. Not saying I dont want a 1350 through out front driveline ( cause I do ) but for having 300 bucks in my front driveline you wont hear me complaining anytime soon. Stuff like this comes down to money. Same thing with my tires, same thing with my wheels.... yada yada yada.

Im very pleased with my rig for what it is and what I have in it. Its fun as **** ! :afro:

I like your buggy - it has that clean simple look about it. i don't like to much extra amounts of bling in a rig. And it does preform rather well

I've always run 1310's on the front of mine and never been problems. I'm still running just a lengthened wrangler driveshaft in the front of mine 1310 on both ends. Seems' to be holding up to my torque and bouncing so far. Knock on wood!! I will have to see what sort of situation I am in when it breaks to make me step up to 1350's on the front.

I had problems with my 1310s last year. It took me a while to figure out that the driveshaft was fully compressing and getting stuck in that position. It was the pulling apart on the rebound that broke the u-joint.

I doubt you have the same problem but I thought I'd toss it out there as something to consider just in case.
