Muddy Water is NOT your friend

How makes a good Alarm? I have Two Toyota's and The one key will work on just about any older Toy. I think it needs somehting on it so they can start it.

If you have a older truck (88 and prior) go to your local parts place and buy a new tumbler for the ignition. The aftermarket ones have a reversed key cut than the one you pulled out just like the 89 and later ignitions have. Don't get lazy and forget a hidden fuel cut off switch and maybe a ignition kill switch as well.

As far as a snorkel even a pipe sealed to the factory air box that sucks air from up by the master cylinder is far better than the factory design.

1: I'm sick and tired of hearing about stolen and stipped out Toyotas.

x2. On my 84 I had a battery cutoff locked inside the toolbox. A keyed fuel pump cutoff hidden on the bottom of the dash and a ignition cutoff switch mixed in with my other switches.

I think it's funny hearing about all the stolen yotas but few people do anything to protect them from being stolen:rolleyes:

yeah, really fawking funny.
I guess you're ok with people taking whatever they want, whenever they want?
It's ok for someone to take **** that belongs to someone else just because they can?
/end rant

LOL

Kill switches are really simple, every yota should have one.
If Jeeps and stuff weren't so crappy, they might get stolen more :fawkdancesmiley:
What criminal wants to steal something that might not get them back to their crack shack?

But back to the point.... wheel bearings don't like being dunked much.
If you're going to do it alot, use good grease seals.
aftermarket ones don't seem to seal as well, and let more mud/water/muddy water into the hub.

Funny as in I think it's funny how stupid people are not to put in at least one kill switch. I don't think it's funny that people steal other peoples **** at all. Chill out

I don't think he's saying that at all. I think he's pointing out that more times than not the rig that is stolen has NOTHING for theft prevention done to it. If you've made an effort and your junk is stolen that's one thing but if you didn't do anything to prevent it then you're an idiot. :;

I know.
I was just standing on the proverbial soapbox for a minute.
Someone had to do it, I was just doing my civic duty.
LOL.

BTW:

Mount your alarm ecu's nice and high!
Under the seat is not a good place for it.
Water + alarm ecu = car-no-starty-fail
:)
(who in the hell puts an aftermarket alarm ecu under the seat anyway?)
