Do loud pipes still save lives? Looking at muffler options and the redneck in me wants less muffler and more sound, but the courteous nice guy in me wants to tone her down a little bit. What are your thoughts? I should also note this is my first big block so I'm leaning towards loud

That was my plan. The more I thought about it the more I realized that this is a trail rig and creature comforts are out the window so might as well make it sound good. From what I've read the sumo max bullets are a good solution for folks who want that sound but still need a muffler

Magnaflow. The Solo Buggy is pretty quiet, until you get on it. Then it gets loud. That was a good comprise for me. Also small, only about 8" long.

Loud pipes definatly do save lives , I have em on my smith buggy ( open headers ) with that being said, they also make a hangover 10x worse !! My wife's new buggy is getting Magnaflow mufflers... I just had the rock it race buggy done, like john said , sounds good and you can actually talk to your passenger , my buggy is what it is, my wife's is gonna be a trail rig / bouncer with stereo in it so I wanted some comforts with it

You callin 8" small, embarrasses me to death....

Both of our buggies have mufflers. I like being able to talk to my passenger or hear a spotter. Flow master race mufflers on the white buggy and mangaflows on the purple one.

I have a big block going into a single 3.5 inch Flowmaster 10 series race muffler. It sounds good to me and I don't feel it's too loud.

So open headers make it impossible to hear the wife or GF? Seems like a simple choice to me! flashemifyougotem :gtfo:

That's so you can sneak into Shiners and nobody notice. :drinkers:

I run a 70 series flowmaster with no cat convertors on a 454 vortec. yes, its my tow rig but concept still the same. If i go to pass you on the road you definitely know I'm coming. but, its quiet enough for the 5 and 7 hour drives to Tennessee from Indiana.

just a thought for you.

oh, and i run 2 into 1 side exit in stock location.
