Mufflers?

I have always thought that Flowmaster 40 series, 2 chamber mufflers had the ultimate sound, if you like it loud. If you have built around factory packaging though (especially with a 4 link) or even in buggys where space is premium, then you know the smaller the better. Theres just no room for a normal sized muffle. Ive been running a fart can muffler on one of my rigs (doesn't sound anything like they do on ricers) Its pretty mellow, but rappy when you get on it. I ran across these when looking for something with deep sound but in smaller packaging http://www.lawsonindustries.com/products/mufflers# (the "bullit" 2nd one from the bottom of page) Supposedly they have the deep sound of a chambered muffler with the size of a glass pack. Never heard one in person...

Put Dynomax bullets on it. Loud, but sounds great. Love it!!!
I've been looking for mufflers and was tryin to pick one that I went loud and I finallay decided To just get some mufflers and be done. I'm just tired of tha flow master sound. I swear every dam truck I hear has that sound. Would Prob keep mine but space is so dam tight. And I'm havin a time tryin to find dual 2.5 Inlet and single 3" outlet like was recommended to me. Wish I knew the difference havin a dual In and outs would make... Found plenty of those.

Back in the day when I had a fox body GT everybody had the Flowmasters and everybody had the same sounding car I wanted a different sound so I went with Hooker Areo chamber mufflers and they had a awesome sound at idle and when I was on it. For a offroad rig now I would like to here the new Hushpower mufflers from flowmaster for there inline style but I have not seen any to know if they are too loud for a trail rig

I have 3" Moroso Spiral Flows on my buggy. They are about the same size as Dynomax bullets but there is no packing inside them to rot out or get oil soaked after an inversion. I wish they were a bit quieter but its pretty hard to package a large muffler in front of the firewall. I used to have a 2 into 1 setup with a 3.5" Flowmaster 40 series muffler under my seat but I didn't like the heat beneath me.

I don't care for the flowmeter tones, but I'm weird like that. Had the old school glass packs on a couple different rigs and really like them. They make a noise when ya get on it and are relatively quiet putting around. Got dual turbo mufflers Y'ed into a 3.5 or 4" single outlet and it is way louder than the dual glass packs on my old truck.

I used to be a big fan of the flowmaster 40 and 50 series mufflers. Recently switched to the Borla XR mufflers. They are quieter than a magnaflow off idle, but about the same loudness as a flowmaster 50 series getting it. I have found that they average about 15 more horsepower on the dyno, over flowmasters, and hold considerably less heat in the exhaust system (floorboards are noticably cooler). No muffler drone either
