Getting ready to do my first full hydro steering. Located just north of Birmingham. Where's the best place to get the d.I.y. Hoses? What is the best size? Any tips that will save a little time would help thanks.

Mickey at the Lilly forklift company is a CAOS member and got me a good deal on an orbital and said she did the diy hose as well. Its on Vanderbuilt rd of of 20/59 in the Tarrant area.

This is the first time I over budgeted for something. The prices on line seem very reasonable. Besides making sure they are swivel any other suggestions?

Hose is high :puke: but I carried mine to landyacht and he built mine on the truck, wish i had went the diy route because of trail fixes but i had like 250 or so just in hose on mine :****: :****:

Local napa and O'reilly's can usually make them... Billed under a commercial account, the price is usually pretty decent, full retail price is ridiculous though

I bought all custom made s/s hoses for my build back last year. First race it was ever in at Choc for SRRS last year the pump pressure line blew out about 15 foot into the hill. I thought I was going to die when Bobby Tanner walked up and said "those pretty hoses are junk get them off of there." Then took me all the way back to parking area and gave me a hose to run the rest of the day. Outstanding family to be around :****:

I paid $575 for my steering and brake lines custom made. Made me sick when it blew out. Now replaced with basic hydraulic hose and steering performance and all is better.
