need help with suspension

What's the length of your lowers and uppers front and rear? Curious if you might be able to shorten the uppers slightly and then be able to move them up without having the clearance issues you're talking about.

You do need more separation though...that driver rear tire is just trying to drive up and under your rig. Before you lengthened the links I'm assuming the mounts were all in the same places. If so...lengthening the links just allowed the rear axle to put more "leverage" on the suspension and the problem showed up.

My old rig did the same EXACT thing....but it only did it on pavement. You couldn't make it do it when it was off road. I'm sure it was something to do with the link geometry but all of those calculations go out the window once you get it all twisted up on a rock.

Not the best pic but you can sorta see the angle of the links.

Funny you say that but when my friend Kevin originally built this rig it was on coilovers and the suspension worked great. From the pics it looks like the rear link setup is totally different now, it used to be double triangulated and had more link sep. at the frame. I can't tell about the front...

a have had a couple of buddies that had type of loading happen.

They both put in sway bars and it stopped.
 
OK here are my findings. When I disengage the rear and turn with just front wheels pulling no prob with the unloafing. Here are all the measurements that took front and back. Forgive me if i don't give proper terms. for the front
Upper link length = 32 3/4 bolt hole to bolt hole
Lower link length = 34 1/2
Wheelbase = 129
Tire size 44"
From ground to lower frame mount bolt =24 1/2
From ground to upper frame mount bolt = 17 1/2
8" apart from frame mount upper and lower center
From ground to upper axle mount =27"
From ground to lower axle mount =17 1/2
18" apart from axle lower and upper mount
From top of bellhousing bolt to ground = 40"
From from rail to ground = 25"

For the rear

Lower link length = 33 3/4
Upper link length = 35
From ground to lower axle mount = 18"
From ground to upper axle mount = 28
17 1/2 apart from mount location for upper and lower axle mount
From ground to lower frame mount = 26 1/2
From ground to upper frame mount = 31 1/2
4 1/2 apart from upper and lower frame mount center.

So what do I need to do. Lol
 
The first buggy I built did the same thing I had to relocate the top Heims a lil higher, ur top bars should be shorter than the bottom around 25% depending on mounting locations, ur front looks ok so ur back needs to match the front.

Quick summary on measurements.

On front at frame 7" of separation between upper and lower link mounts
At axle 9.5" of separation between upper and lower link mounts
Front upper link is 1.75 shorter than lower link

On rear at axle 10" of separation
At frame 4.75" of separation

Rear upper is 1.25 longer than lower

Looks like I am going to have to make the front uppers around 24" or 10.5" shorter and the rear uppers 23.5" or 10.15 shorter. This would would put the uppers 70% of the lowers. What about the separation numbers are they about right are should I shoot for as much as possible

Am I right that seperation is distance in hieght from from say upper and lower link mounts at axle. Or is it distance between the lower and upper link mounts at the axle.

You said the same thing.

but yes, "separation" usually refers to the vertical separation of the links at the axle, or the frame (according to what you're asking about)

Sorry. Lol I guess vertical is key word. When I was asking about distance between the two mount was meaning horizontal distance. It makes some since now.
