Talked about adding some folks tonight as our original group is pretty thin. Please post up about the people listed and if you think they are interested. We would like to invite some to the next few rides.

JR Hall
Mike George
Daniel Parker

That was about all we came up with.

The original goal was to have 100% participation, we get maybe 50% and have several without rigs. We figure 50% is a better goal for involvement, so adding members makes sense.

I know JR and Daniel are both interested, even though Daniel is rigless he is a great guy.

I think those are some good choices. Not sure if Mike George would be down for it though. Has anybody talked to him about it. I know JR and Daniel would be stoked and be good members. Hopefully Daniel will have his buggy done before to long. His wife will be done with school in August I think and that should help speed him along.

Gregg is our best bet to find out from Mike. He seems interested to me and always rides....

Sorry I missed last night as something came up that was unavoidable.

Yes, Mike asks me about our Bowling shirts everytime we ride. I believe that is his way of asking about us and think he might be down for a membership. If you want, I will approach him and see what he says. I think JR would jump at the chance if we were to ask him and I have gotten to know him alot more than others as he texts me and calls almost everyday. I have had him over to the house before and can say that he has a good head on his shoulders. Good choice as well. only problem I see is Location, Location, Location. Long drive for meetings. For Daniel, I have no input as I do not know him like ya'll, but can say it sounds like another firm choice as I have followed all of his doings from helping everyone at KOH and the other events. All three sound like good solid choices. :dblthumb:

What else what brought up last night? :dunno:

Greg, You are right JR is all about it. I asked him if he is interested, he said what do I have to do! Approach Mike and see what he says, I think he really wants to be a part of something personally.

The rest of the meeting was about getting more people at rides and involved more and we also discussed non-active and rigless members and their role in the club. Also moved the meeting to a new place since Richard's sucks! John and Rich can chime in also if I missed something.

I will get with Mike and see of his interest. thumb.gif

I now have my junk back and ready to ride again. Hopefully it will stay at my house for a while this time.

I wonder when the Tilted Kilt flashemifyougotem is going to open up on 280? I am up for anywhere though.

I threw out Tony Cousins and Bob Youmens, but Matt did not put them on his list. Bob has asked me about the club the last time I was at Mountainside.

I think it would be to controversial for Tony to be a member, him owning G'rock and all. Great idea, just my .0002
Don't know much about Bob other than when I se him at Mountainside, again a park owner and long distance. :dunno:

If distance was not an issue, I would have thrown out Steven Oneil's name. :dblthumb:

Cole and Daniel are both in T town and JR is in Huntsville... I dont think distance is a determining factor personally. We all travel to ride and that is what counts to me not making a meeting and drankin beers laughing1

Yeah forgot about those two John.

How active a member will be needs to be a deciding factor. We don't really need any more non-active members, we want folks that enjoy wheelin and make an effort to make club rides as much as they can. And try to attend meetings when possible, but we know some folks are geographically disadvantaged.

100% agree P. I would love for the out of town folks to make a meeting like once a year, but we know the meetings are mostly for socializing. Last night with 4 people, it was very nice because it was easier to talk and we discussed lots of club stuff. Gregg, Steven O'Neal is never going to be a candidate, he is not active and rarely rides. We need ACTIVE members that can make rides. I also think there are some issues with Tony as a park owner and notable figure in local wheelin politics so to speak.

Good discussion guys.

How about Josh Cagle, a Huntsville guy with a :cougar:. No really, he's a good guy that loves wheelin and is building a new buggy and builds stuff on the side. :dunno:

Talked about him also and he is definately a possibility, but is also rigless.

I think we have a good group and we don't really want to add 5 members at once. So 1-2 here and there would be the plan. I think JR should be the first. Daniel is still rigless and we are unsure if MIke is interested. If Mike is interested and Daniel wants to come ride shotgun with someone, then we need to invite them both to KOTH course on 7/11. I have already invited JR and he will be there. I think we could invite Bob also, John you wanna do that?

I am still in the air on Tony. I think he has a business conflict, just like there was with Keith Bailey. I also don't really like hanging out with Tony sometime because of the way he acts, but I have never really hung out with him in a small setting. I always speak to him and Myra and they are pleasant most of the time. Maybe it is worth a conversation and a ride....

JR is more then qualified to be in the club in my opinion. He rides more then any of us do and is extremely passionate about riding. He does his work , maintains his rig at all cost's and doesnt miss a ride for anything. thumb.gif

Invite Bob and see how he feel's about it. He may not want to conflict with what he has going on even though he does get out and ride a ton and a half. Hell I think he'd "use" us as a club for clean up and trail work more then Randy does. Let Bob know were we stand and that we'd LIKE to help in that manner and it would be a good working relationship for him and the club I believe.

I like Bob a lot. He is a very active wheeler, he will have some committment issues though since his place is open every other weekend. I say that John talk to him and invite him since Bob approached John about Hardline.

Never hurts to ask!

I just sent JR a text... I know he shoots them out regular to Greg as well, but **** I talk to him all the time via text and occasionally we call each other. Tried to hook up with him this past weekend when he did that mud drag

Really all that needs to happen with JR is a vote in.

I agree Paul. I sent him a text and asked him if he was interested in hardline. He said, "Hell yes! What do I need to do?". I responded, just come to some rides and wheel with everybody. He replied, "Is that al?" Great attitude, that is what we need!
