New trail construction has started

That would be great but the engineer would still need to put the trails on paper before the trail is built... But it would help with funding.
 
I see some very large differnece in the material they have ordered for one the rip rap is much larger and the base has way more fines it in so I hope it will pack in better... as well there are larger rocks.
 
and on an unrelated note the motorcycle trails ****ing blow... the green trail is better then the others as it is way more flow but I can ride all the trails in about 30 minutes... if they don't add another 15 miles or more then it really isn't worth going unless you are a beginner rider.

I'm feeling chatty tonight I guess...

CL is full of cheap, older dump trucks.


Just saying.... then its just a matter of finding CDL equipped volunteers or out of work drivers that would be willing to work cheap.


Out of curiosity, and I'm sure it has been mentioned in past threads, who's the contractor doing the work?

I know there is more to it than I know...
 
The wife and I go to Stevens pass every weekend. Last week I mentioned how sweet it would be to use some of the clean,fractured,HUGE ass boulders the construction guys are pulling out of the cliff on the last climb to the summit(Old Faithfull slide area past Tunnel Creek). Seems like they have to pay to haul them off "somewhere" and its all down hill to Reiter:redneck: I know,I know.....transpo is the killer....just sayin:beer:

Exact, a $150 rock cost 500 to deliver

That isn't an option at this time. DNR will not help the volunteers in any way. I have tried all angles

Typicl government project :rolleyes: paying for fuel if somebody would volunteer there truck and time would be way cheaper

Want to bet the unions are involved.:awesomework: Maybe we need to start the volunteer teamsters we would be able to help:haha:

I run a shop full of a union crew but its a union who actually works for a living unlike most of them :awesomework:
 
the duffy of the new trail section is so much better way narrower and they are leaving old growth stumps and natural spots :awesomework: it is coming along nicely! come out this Saturday and check it out! There is also a new challange built on the first trail you guys should go check out just one more thing to play on!


here's some pic's

this are 3 foot steps/bumps in the trail this is a big change from the first trail they would have just pushed to smooth! also this is way narrower and the stumps have been left!



you can see the contour here as the tracks are behind the little hill! :awesomework: and there are some way better spots just no reference points to really tell in the pictures :cool:



here's some rocks you could play on! but some of them have been placed special for this weekend:corn::stirpot:
