new welder

Got home about an hour ago
This area is the first area to get the new Millers.
The Miller rep said they would hit the other area's by mid to late summer.
From what I have seen and heard about the 251, I will love the 252.
The 252 has a couple nice additions.
I also picked up a 30A spool, a tank, wire, exc.
It was there grand opening so I saved a chunk.
But it was not cheep that is for sure.
I kinda sold my old Miller to one of the guys on the NWBommers list.
So I had till next month to replace it or be without.
Soooooooooo :D I had to do it. :;

From the little BroChur ;) they list a bunch of stuff, one of the new cool fetures is the Angled wire drive (spool loads from the top and feeds down). Alot less of an angle for the wire as it enters the line to the gun. After that I will list the one they show, but I am not sure what the 210 has. It will run the 3035 Spoolmate no module required (welds aluminum). The welder sences the gun you are using and you are ready to weld. Lower cylinder rack height. Front consumable and parameter chart. I probobly missed something, and there is nothing online yet & will not be until they are released in all areas.

It was tuff for me, but I will get over it.
I love the TIG's also, just have a hard time having two machines.
That is if you want the pedal, tig is not tig without the pedal control.
Without out that control it is not worth it (to me)

You took pictured before setting it up and burning a couple pounds of wire?

You have better self control than I do :D

ya i am pretty sure my 210 has the plug for the spool gun but i didn't get it.. i do'nt think haha i just called my tool guy and told him to order me a 210 haha

It's still not set up.
I need to finish the front yard so I can get started on the back yard.
Preping for a garage, until that is built I will not have much fun with it.
It looks like I have a job for it Monday.
I could always use the old welder...................NOT.

I use a MM350P at work work and i am absolutley in love with it! its the $4k price tag that gets me down. i love having the full range of adjustment that i can get with the 350p. plus if i buy a Miller spoolmatic i can weld aluminun with it. i may have to set up a payment plan and get one.

I got a 210 last year and it's as much machine as I will need. And YES, it has a spool gun plug-in with a spot for a second bottle. The machine will also know which gun you're using and use the correct bottle. That handy little spool gun was above my budget but am happy the welder will except one if needed.

syncrowave 250 dx.

Wich makes me green with envy. That will be my next shop purchase because MIG welding is starting to not be high-end enuf:D

I have a MM 350P It's the biggest and badest millermatic made. It's severe overkill for truck stuff but I do structural and heavy equipment too. That and it has direct conect for a push-pull gun so I can run the big aluminium spools, plus fancy pulsing programs, arc control, turns up higher and down lower than a 251, has a bitchin roughnec gun, makes me sandwiches, keeps beer cold, walks the dog and so on:redneck:

But it's still n:booo: o syncrowave

We've got a roughneck gun on one of the 210's, it's real nice. I hate the stock gun's, about 1/4 of the way through a chassis the gun is almost too hot to touch.

get one of these :; http://www.tregaskiss.com/TG_semiauto_air.php
i used to dump wire for basically 10 hours strait, a day with one of these. :redneck:

at 12 volts :haha: The problem is that most heavy-duty guns are too bulky for offroad fab. But the little stockers experince meltdown long before the duty cycle of the welder. I burned up 2 guns welding in 14ga pickets for months strait down in seatac with a mm175 at 3/4 throttle:looser:
