Hi, name is Chad Moore and im from Ft. Payne AL, Got a 1987 Samurai that i bought about 3 years ago, it was all stock except for toyota axles and a 5.1 transfer case gear. So bein new to the rock crawlin game i didnt know ****! so the first thing i done was see how high i could jack it up! 4'' yj springs on top of the axles! I had a 27'' belly height and a 84'' wheelbase! the dam wind could blow it over! So after rolling it hard at Morris Mtn. a couple years ago, I started over. It has a .40 over flat top 1.3 engine with a 40mm harley cv carb, 5.1 transfer gear, yota axle with 5.29 gears, welded in the rear, lockrite in front, 107'' wheelbase, 4 link rear, 3 link front, with a 21'' belly height! 36 tsl's on beadlocks! its does alot better than i ever thought it would when building it. I got a cpi vortec 4.3, 4l60e, toyota case on stand by! but it works so good with the light motor in front i hate to change it! but it just doesnt have any wheel speed when you need it! And thank God i decided to put a exo cage on it! It has saved me many times! :driving:

It's a pile of parts right now sittin next to a tub on stands. Should be some progress shots by next week. I'll try to grab some tonight and get them up here. This rig should be pretty cool when he gets it done. Not a SE hill killer, but a damn good ride for Clayton, K2 and the like.

Damn, that is a big girl right there. Mine's definitely not that big, only 113" wb. I like the way you got all that length and still kept it under the wells. Great job man. Hope to run with you soon. :driving:

Should be in the badass 4 seater buggy thread. :****:

Good deal. We all got to start somewhere, so don't be shy about what you got and what you might need around here. There's always someone with an idea or an answer. thumb.gif
