Just got through watching it (yes I live under a rock) and was really interested throughout the whole movie. Was a good story, but at the end, did I miss something or what. Just kinda left ya hangin. Anyone else feel the same way. Some bad mofos in the movie just the ending sucked. :dunno:

Felt the same way, I was a little dissappointed with the end, but thought over all it was good.

We downloaded it a few days ago and haven't had the chance to watch it. To tell you the truth I have no clue what it's about, Erin made me DL it.

I seen it a couple of times, good movie. I like the ending , it's different.

Another movie to see that has weird ending is into the wild.

Into the Wild is a great movie Brad, it is also a great book written about a true story. I have No Country for Old Men in the que from Netflix

i love the movie....

people are too "used" to happy endings and all the other cliche **** that movies are "made" of....this one bucks the tide and people can't put it together...

movie had great symbolism and cleve dialogue....

the conversation with the old guy in the gas station was the best!!!

and, in case you guys don't understand Woody harrelson's role....it's irony...

there is a quote about the guy who killed a federal judge in texas by tommy lee jones....well, the aforementioned judge was REALLY AND LITERALLY KILLED by woody harrelson's father who consequentially died in prison serving the time for killing that judge...FACT!!!

I'm glad you gave me the tie in of Woody and Tommy Lee.....I was lost on those two. My take on the whole thing was Tommy Lee was a friend of the director and got thrown in the mix to sell tickets....Woody just happened on the set one day so they threw him in too........I wasn't expecting a happy ending.....I was just wanting an ending.....I was wanting some sort of final showdown between two badass mofo's and then suddenly it was over. I actually thought the DVD had skipped and I ****ed around with it for a few minutes trying to figure out what the real ending was. My final conclusion was that they ran over budget and everybody walked off the set! molaugh molaugh

tommy lee was (IMHO) the best guy they could have gotten, aside from say willie nelson, to do the Coehn's Teaxs Dialogue....especially at the beginning,....remember TLJ's talk as it opened....who else could you picture talking that intro???

"No Country for Old Men" is a book written by Cormac McCarthy, probably the greatest Tennessee writer, and one of my favorite authors.
The screenplay follows the story line of the book and nothing has been changed by the Coen brothers, the book ends the same way. The only irony involved could be the casting of Woody, but I doubt he would have done it if he thought it was a shot @him or his father. The Coen bros did a good job with TLJ's role, in the book the sherriff is reflecting and you are reading his thoughts(talking to himself). They pulled it off on the screen without making him appear crazy.

I never read the book(should have).....I guess I was disappointed because I was expecting/hoping that the the old weathered and worldly wise sheriff was gonna take down the badass hitman with extreme prejudice.

this movie kicks ass thumb.gif

"If I'm not back by morning, tell momma I love her."
"Your momma's been dead for two years."
"Guess I'll tell her myself then."

****ing repost.......

This book and Into the Wild were oth great reads and the film adaptations were excellent. I usually hate movies of books I read.

Que up 'There Will Be Blood' in your Netflix..you will love it.
