I am officially underway with my v8 ho-runner project. woot!!!

We pulled the cab off the runner last weekend and rolled the frame into the shop to start the tear down.

I have a set of 3/4 ton chevy axles (14 bolt/10 bolt) a TH350 trans, and a np205 t-case. I am going to use a tried and true 350 motor, i am still looking for one at the moment. But i am Really excited to have gotten started and can't wait to start seeing it take shape!

it is a 94 v6 sr5 runner, but the engine uke:'ed

So its been forever since an update. thought i would post som progress and pics...

finished a BUNCH of cutting and welding and got the frame to hold it self up on the 37x12.5 wrangler mt's.

here is a couple of grainy cell phone pics of the day we got the body back on the frame. It was a total spurt of the moment idea to put it back on. haha

And so here are some pics from today with with my ghetto flex test to make sure my pitman arm doesn't hit the leaf spring when its compressed.

oh and i have a new trans and t-case ready to go.

haha don't worry the blocks were temporary. i needed to get shorter u-bolts to have no blocks.

What are you doing for a radiator, looks like it's a tight fit with the motor in there from the shot through the grill.

yeah i actually have a BMW 5 series radiator. its meant for a 4L v8 and has a built in tank.... it fits with little room to spare.

ok scratch that... I got a toyota radiator from my work today, aswell as a manual transmission pedal assembly, and a new fuel pump. all for a $100.

does anyone have a good suggestion for a cheap way to regulate my fuel pressure at 15 psi? The TBI setup needs 15 psi, i have seen the napa ones that are for carb setups (4-6 psi), but do they make similar ones?

some updates... 2 inch body lift to fit the trans and t-case. modified crossmember and shifters, and built the crossmember mount.
