November 5th Noob run at Reiter

Dude, you are so hardcore.

Anywho, this is going to take a long time. It's a noob run. Don't say I didn't warn you.

That being said, there are supposed to be huge winds tomorrow. Can someone bring a chainsaw? I traded mine for 3 wheels of fine munster cheeze back in 1997. Thanks.

what are we needing a chain saw for? Besides I don't think we should be asking people to bring hardware like that on in a public area. just my opinion though

When I was talking to Kim (DNR Kim) today in the parking lot, she informed me that tomorrow they are going to have high winds and she is worried about trees coming down across trails.

Thus the chainsaw.

This is why you bring a saw with you.

Last Feb we wheeled Elbe after/during a windstorm an it was a good thing we brought the saw... We were able to clear the trail.

Sac-up is going to take the better part of the day.

If we get done with that, I'd like to go play in the rock garden.

the rock garden? Ok, I'll make sure to bring my share axle shafts.

Ya, we already found one downed tree in the middle of the trail on Sac-up. We where able to go around it, but there may be more tomorrow. Besides, its always better to be prepared for the worse and hope for the best.

What time did you run the trail? Didn't see any tree down when I went thru earlier today

Think we hit the trail, 3:30 or so. There's a section of the trail where you have to negotiate a sharp left and then right S-turn. there is a tree laying in the middle of the turn. Come out tomorrow and you will probably see it, we left it there. :D

Man I wish I could be there... If you guys see my truck out there with Ashley driving, Im gonna need to have a talk with her, lol.

What why?

I have been to reiter after a wind storm, there must have been at lease 20 trees across the trail, now granted someone already cleared them ( I believe it was Crash), but it was fresh.

But that is why in the fall and winter months I carry a Big Husky 372XP that has been hopped up, with a 32" bar

I went on a noob run before, I went from the back of the pack, to second inline, cause I was the one with the big saw. Had to pull it out about 6 times on that run.

Chainsaws should be required this time of year, what happens if you get to the top of the trail, and come down to find, a 36" fir laying across the road 2 feet above the ground. YOU BE SCREWED
