NOW WITH PICS! Windrock

Re: Windrock

did you at least have a cooler with wheels to pull along though the dark?

Re: Windrock

we had a cooler, but left it with the rigs. there wasnt any beer with us...... ::) we were planning on getting it that evening....LOL

Re: Windrock

Windrock has kicked my ass a few times. Rattle rock is a fun trail we always try to see how fast we can make it to the top. Once did it in about and hour and half ,another time 8 hours. It's a rough trail.

Cool pics, windrock is a worthy destination for any rig.

P: Does this link work better? http://s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm234/shawns1ton/?albumview=grid

You need a damn roll cage, you about flopped in that one series, that coulda been BAD!

actually a few times this weekend it was close. roll cage and sway bar is up next. anything in those pics would have been an easy flop....the one that wasnt caught on camera...WOW that was scary. it would have been ass over front, going left down hill....looking at ordering some tube soon.

I just got to scroll through the pics on the link RB posted... looks like a killer trip you guys had.

Thinking on the matter, and with your current post's Are you gonna buggy , chop up sheetmetal or keep tweaking what you have and aknowledge its limitations as a full body pick em up ??

None of which is bad, but you are certainly at a cross roads as you begin to wheel more frequent and challenging terrain .

I think its interesting to see these types of progressions . Good luck on whatever you choose. thumb.gif

yes, that trip was awesome. we had a great time and definately plan on going back there next year.
As for the truck, you are right. I am at a crossroads, at a minimum I HAVE to get a cage of some kind. I know my rig and what I feel are its limitations, but **** happens and it could happen fast, as I found out coming down that hill with no brakes and no throttle, it really could have ended very badly and it honestly scared the **** out of me and thats a first time for that in any rig............well other than the mountain rescue truck, thought that guy wasnt going to get us off the mountain....CRAZY old man haulin ass on those gravel roads.......anyways. I found out something very life changing tonight, so its hard to say what my options will be. dont worry, nothing bad.....all good! pepper.gif :drinkers:
I definately have time to think about what I want to do. The Woodlee Pimpin aint easy S-10 is fawking badass and I would love to have a rig half of what that thing is and it is definately different, which I like. If I keep my current rig, I still want to do some changes.....t-case, front links, sway bar, rear tube, air shox or struts, etc etc

we'll see. I will definitely keep the other thread rolling, it is a great topic with lots of input.
