Please read and heed.

Please go to
www.wohva.org - click on the 2nd line "Rally Codes of Conduct - Meeting Places - Driving Directions" for more info. The dowloads have the info you'll be needing.
A place that would catch all Tamers on the way south would be in the general J. C. Penney parking lot at the Tacoma Mall just off (west side) of I-5. WOHVA is calling for meeting there starting at 9:30AM and heading south to the capitol by 10:00AM.
Rally on the steps of the capitol building starts at noon. There are further notes about parking and other info on that website info page as well. Please read the "Codes of Conduct" download - not only does it provide general information - it also gives suggestions of talking points in case one of us gets pulled aside for an interview. If we are asked for our opinion - it would serve us well to look to the general public like we are reasonable, normal people looking for the same respect and accommodation for our hobby, as others enjoy for their pursuits. Also won't hurt to mention this is a big industry that should be accommodated - plus - if the industry is made difficult for reasonable people to pursue - that mostly who you will find in the woods are the cranks, lawbreakers, and uneducated, frustrated hotheads. Not exactly the only type of person you want out on the trails.
So - please read up. I don't get a sense that we are being asked to bring rigs on a trailer to show - although if your rig is a daily driver - that is a good plan to travel in that. I say this in part - because we are being asked to park on the Deschutes Parkway (Parkway is being closed for a few hours for our parking use) behind the capitol (info on the website) and shuttle busses will run from the parkway up to the capitol. There also appears to be a walking trail between the 2 points as well.
So - plan to get to J.C. Penney's parking lot at the Tacoma Mall at 9:30AM this Friday - and we will head down from there! We need a show of strength to continue work to maintain trail access and some respect.
Thanks - Moose
