OIL COOLER ON A LS2 IS IT NEEDED? IS ANYBODY RUNNING ONE ? MY MOTOR HAD ONE ON IT WHEN I BOUGHT THE JEEP AND NOW THAT I AM SWAPPING IT OVER TO A BUGGY IT WILL JUST BE SOMTHING ELSE TO MAKE ROOM FOR IF IT IS NOT NEEDED???

It dang sure aint gonna hurt to have it! Helps the life of the motor and keeping it cooler! I'd like to have one on my buggy!

I do not have a cooler on my Jeep with an LS2 and the oil runs about 20-30 degrees warmer than the water.

I do have a cooler on my buggy with a stroked LS2 and it runs about 10 degrees warmer than the water temp.

I think it's cheap insurance

I will be doing the exact same thing and have not decided yet. Did some searching on pirate a while back and the consensus for non racing is always, good if you can, but not a must. I am already going to have to make room for a 3 qt accumulator and will add a cooler if I can fit it.

I WAS JUST WONDERING. I GUESS IF I ALREADY HAVE IT I CAN PUT IT ON THERE. SO I GUESS THE OIL TEMP IS SUPPOSED TO BE CLOSE TO THE WATER TEMP?

I believe 210 would be normal operating temp

If you have the cooler throw it on there - its cheap :dblthumb:
