Ouverson Dana 60 ujoints?

I have run them that's the only conventional style axle joint I've bought in several years. They are awesome if you can find them. The single grease fitting is a nice feature.

Ok, these seem to be unobtainable. Kinda like the "free beer tomorrow" sign that never goes away. They'll have them in 6wks after the next 6wks and so on.

How bout the TG/Longfield newer joints? Anyone using them? I know some guys on the other board have broke some.

With just about any of the Aftermarket Joint Makers the Axle becomes the limiting factor.
I would throw a set of Yukon Superjoints in there and forget about it. What shafts are you running?

I think the yukon super joints are the best bang for the buck and readily available... I do think the oversons and ctms are a bit nicer because of the single greasing point and replacable bushings in the caps but the cost significantly more..

I'm running a mix of shafts, haven't broken one in a yr now. I'm tired of hitting 16 screws before every ride with my OLD Longfield joints. Call it laziness if you want, I'm just tired of doing it. I didn't realize CTM's had a single fitting?

I have broken quite a few ears. When I switched to superjoints, I rarely break a shaft. If I do, it's the shaft itself and not the ears. All Yukon 4340 shafts. I am going to assume I was breaking the joints and it was taking out the ears.

Were you guys breaking the regular Spicer 60 joints before switching?

Yes. And in doing so it would ruin the inner and outter shaft.

Just swapped to yukons from my old style long fields, so we will see how they work.

I broke a couple of spicer non greasables before switching to yukon supers... was running ten factory shafts and the joint would always break and **** up both shafts, no issues with front axles and joints after the supers although it was a little PITA to grease them all the time and they were showing some wear when i sold the buggy so im not sure if replacing the caps would have tightened them up or not, would have liked to have known

Re:

I did the super joints in a d44 and the constant greasing was annoying. I guess I've been lucky with the greasable spicers in my 60. I think I greased them twice this year and I ride pretty much every weekend.

Cause I'm poverty level, not poor. That is not nice to make fun of folks less fortunate than yourself. :flipoff1:

Re:

Ctm has 4 grease points. I've had mine for 5-6 years with old school superior roled spline chromos. 43 stickies, never broken.

Grease is cheaper than joints/shafts. ...just saying.

I just bought a set of yukons and super joints good to see the positive reviews.
