I have a sign shop about two miles from me. I get all my thin aluminum there. They have your sought after Gloss black in any size and thickness you want. I always get their seconds at a discounted price, it may have a bent corner or a small scratch on it at most.
The one close to me is the main store. they have another store, I believe it's in Tuscaloosa. I can't remeber the name , but I think it's any thing signs, or signs plus. Any way my $.02

Just picked up a Gloss Black/Gloss Black for him at Ethridge Race shop here in Tuscaloosa for $71 and some change. 4x10 sheet .040 didnt think that was a bad price.

Speaking of that, they had all kinds of colors in stock, orange, yellow, blue, lime green, etc. Good people to deal with for sure. They are in a hole in the wall kind of place (Storage unit to be exact) but are some of the nicest people I've dealt with.
