Ok, I know Wyatt did one and I thought Woodlee was making some also. Looking for something removable but the passenger needs something to hold on to. Any pics or ideas?

I gotta make one in mine as well... its pretty basic stuff . The last removable one I made I used a quick pin through kinda like on a trailer hitch.

Go buy some cool lookin moto x grips and DW. :afro:

Need to make 2 of them, make on with apehangers for goofin off trail riding ! laughing1

Simple quick disco style.

I used a Ballistic tube clamp to the dash bar. Then welded a steering wheel quick disconnect "HEX" to it.
That way I can always take the whole thing out if its ever not needed or for whatever reason vs. welding the "HEX" straight to my dash bar. Yeah more weight, but now my T-bar is adjustable. If it needs to be heigher for a fatter rider, you can losen the clamp and rock it up, or for smaller riders, can adjust it down. On that note though I actually gave it a tack after Bama to make sure it doesn't rotate for racing. My plan was to drill and tap it, and add detents to my dash bar to adjust a set screw into. Time got away and I didnt get that accomplished.

The "T" itself. I took some 1" tubing and bought some motorcycle grips for it. Moto throttles are 1" but the handle bars are 3/4" so I chucked it on the lathe and machined down one side to 3/4" so each grip fit on, just like on a motorcycle. If you go get ATV grips you can avoid this step as they are the same left to right. I just wanted these Red Metalflake ones from Flyrite Choppers so I went the hard route.
Then on the end of the "T" I got a big ass 2.5" washer, and drilled it for the Quick Disconnect, then welded the washer to the "T" and bolted the quick disco to it just like you would a steering wheel.

It comes off just like a steering wheel.

Fawk, I dont have any good shots of it at all.
But here are a couple that you can surely figure out. Like I said its SIMPLE.

Get yourself a set of grips, and then get corrosponding tube to fit the grips. Welder it up SON!

I like the idea of the T bar with grips using a steering wheel quick disconnect to get it out of the way when not needed.

Yeah I just dont have any good pics of it better than what I added above. I'd take some good ones but its in Kansas right now.
Like I said, I figured out what I'd need, and ordered the parts, total install time including lathe work for me, and paint drying was about an hour.
Without the lathe work or worrying about paint, you could do it in 20 minutes or less. Maybe faster if you have someone to sit and get the position right, and another to tack the hex in place.

You pretty much have to be able to remove mine otherwise getting in and out is a hassle. I made it long enough to be useable when you are fully strapped in with your shoulder harnesses. Not just a lean forward when you have you lap belt on.

Kelly initially dismissed the whole thing, but the clown had his flailing arms going to town and hit the kill cord at one point from then on he realized that if he was holding onto something he had control over his arms.

What are your options? tuck your thumbs under your shoulder harness? I'm saying at speed with terrain or just rough terrain alone you have nearly zero control over your arms unless they are affixed (gripping) something.

I even added a Poly Performance tube handle to the side bar right next to the passenger seat for another grip point.

Yeah you really need something. There isn't **** to hold on to in your buggy.

my "flailing" was trying to hit the cutting brakes for a non multi talking driver :flipgotcha:. that fuggin kill is right by the brakes.
I don't use wyatt's but I can see how people might. I like the handle down by your right ass cheek (I put one like tha tin heath's, use it too). I found myself using that one more when miles was jumping your **** :flipoff1: Personally I like my right hand at my side to keep me off the doorbar and to hold down with to keep me in the seat or brace up for an upcoming impact. I like my left hand above me to brace up and down as well, but the roof bars aren't safe for that, so we put a hoop below the roof bars (in heaths') I love it and it doen'st block egress.

And I think the footbar helps a ton on the passenger side on mine, allows the riders to push back and sink themselves into the seat.

since its getting driven up there, you need to get the leading edge of the skins affixed, they will get into the tire and shred one
and hows that front shaft doing? the pillow block needs grease.

TC has one in their racer and they come up from the floor with it right between the legs of the driver. It keep you from ahving to have a super long rod sticking out if the dash is far away. It oo is removable.

It is on the driver's side? :dunno:

That's one thing Nolen's bling as **** could use. I cut my toe on his trans tunnel. Noplace to put mah feet when airin' it out

Not hatin' :flipoff1:

I do like the handles by the seats on Heaths and Wyatt's.

That is for sure....I was trying to get Woodlee's sorry ass to build me something, but that would be late 2015 before I could get in :D

That is actually pretty funny. I bent up a handle to go from the bar under the leading edge of the seat and put the disco on it, for exacly that reason. Too long of a bar from the dash bar. But it was awkward, kinda like a lapbar on a roller coaster.
Not saying anything is wrong with it, just funny they run one and I had thought about it having not known.
I guess if I did run it, I'd get extra TC knockoff points...LOL
