PHOTOS-Summertown New Years 2009

very nice meeting all of you. Had a great time. This is my plans. Talked with Bobby Longfield today. My front is welded and they will not warranty the axles if I break one. I know from my other builds that detroit is the way to go. So out with the welded front carrier. So adding the addition of a 500.00 locker I will be putting cromos and super joints. And drive flanges. Later on I will go with cv axles.

Can't wait to wheel with everyone again! More videos coming....

Im a welded up type too, but I have heard from several people that the best way to go is with a lock rite in the front end and not a detroit. Lots of "parts" failure's reported with Detroits in a front 60. Keith Bailey at ORC sticks to this and I've heard it by many others.

Does any one if this applies with chromo shafts and joints all the same ??? :dunno:

Found this one on Josh's youtube. I dont know who was driving my buggy like that but when I find out who it was......

I have a High pinion Rockcrusher 60 front with a Detroit and Chromo's and CTM's and flanges and have not had any problem with them. (knockin on wood) ARB in the back with another High pinion Rockcrusher 60 and Chromo's, no problems man. thumb.gif

Im thinking it stem's more from inner axle breakage and that is whats tearing up the Detroits. If Greg can get away with it and has chromo's all the way through, your golden laughing1

It's the backlash caused by a breakig axle that breaks them. I'm running a ARB in the front and to me it's the best way to go. Should of done it from the get go.

Guy said I broke a knuckle scared the **** out of me..... I broke the stub and hub on The Ledge. I told JR he could have the inner and some cash for his spare and inner. Phoned me yesterday and said the ears was too tweaked to us the inner. I got him one coming from MS thanks to David on here. I got more videos.
