place to shoot 500-1000yards?

Is it legal to be at those strip pits?

What do you shoot a " long ways" . I shoot a 45-120 sharps with 110g1 1/2 fg powder and 538g 1 in 20 lead bullets. Single shot breach loader with a full length 6x leather man scope. Fire that baby off with thirty feet of elevation, five minutes later......WACK! It's a blast.

I enjoy shooting long range. Longest I have shot is 500 yards and from going from 400 to 500 yards things change so much with factory ammo. Buddy has a horse riding lodge and it has place's that can go 1,000 yards. Want to try it with just factory ammo and my regular Remington 700 7mag. What is neat at the long range shooting if you are watching through a spotting scope you can see the vapor trail of the bullet.
