OK, so I FINALLY got around to buying a unit. I ended up waiting for the Hypertherm 30 which is a brand new model and replaces the 380. I just picked it up at 4:30 today and hope to get a chance to play with it soon. I'll report back how it goes. :clappy:

It's rated to cut 3/8" cleanly and 1/2" severance. Yes, it's tiny. THe 380 that it replaces was twice the size.

I don't know if you already bought your plasma or not but I have use dboth and prefer the hypertherm, I own a powermax 600 and love it.

Like said above , works great for me and will sever 5/8" .. not pretty but will
1/2" cuts pretty good with fresh tips
and 3/8" is butter

I bought a Hypertherm Powermaxx 600 not to long ago that thing will cut basically anything i throw at it.

By the way how much was yer 30?

$1186 in the "deluxe" version, the only way they had it in stock.. which includes the carrying case, extra tips, gloves, circle cutter, etc.

Not bad i think mine was like 1600 or 1800 i cant remember exactly
