PNW race schedule....

Turn sooner more gas to keep the tires spinning. let off the gas to get a bite at the barrel. But then again I never won either:booo: Takes a while to get it down that's for sure. Always fun to watch some of the really good drivers and how they fly through them with little effort.

The problem is with the Detroit if there isn't enough traction it won't unlock. Turn the wheel all you want it doesn't help.:booo:

I only watched the first vid and you could see it pushing like a mofo.....was that the parade lap?:flipoff:

I thought about pulling one of the drive slugs to open up the front end,if I ever make it out to one of those again

:Dlooks good Rick....you needed your co-piolot to direct you faster through the course, next time

:flipoff:...watch the barrel video you will really see it push.

What do you think about pulling a drive slug....too hard on the Detroit? Did you have your little tires on or your 39's? How much track time did you get?

Big tires in the video.......When I think of pulling a slug I think of what a bitch it is to get around on the trail with a broken front shaft. Just have to try it and see how it does. I think the Detroit would be OK when there's poor traction. :redneck:

Yes....only pull the slug in wet conditions. I got to play on that track in the dry and hustled the car around there OK....didn't battle a push like you had.

Fun place for sure:beer:

There may be some confusion with all of the Stradleline playday talk going about. The race on the schedule in this thread is a different race then the playday in this thread. They're only a week apart and at the same place....

This event looks to be about as cheap as they get at only $25 to race for the day. If anyone wants to try it out without spending much money here's your chance.

OK I said I would remind everyone obout the races as they come up and there's a race this weekend at Straddleline. Be warned though this particular race is on the expensive side at IIRC $110 to race for the weekend......I had told a few people that I wouldn't be at this one but it looks like I will be there so if you see me come and say hey.

Are these events the usual 2wd course or a course with logs, mudholes and rocks where 4wd is needed?

So just look for the red headed black Muslim driving a buggy WFO?:D

No logs and mud. You could run some of it in 2WD but you wouldn't get far or fast.:haha:

When Ethel is dry it is a 2wd course, same with StraddleLine if they are running by the grandstands. $110 to race on a dry flat track is not worth going IMO.

You would not be able to complete the cross country course at Straddleline in 2wd. Given that the point isn't for the course to be a challenge when going slow, it's a race! Come on out with your big tires and I'll leave mine on too. Couple more guys and we could have our own class and throw in some of those logs and mud if we want.....:cheer:
