I have autoenginuity with a domestic bundle and it kicks ass for powerstroke diagnosis. As far as I can tell they don't have a OBD-I program :booo:
Nope, no OBDI; but yeah, definitely kicks ass for the PSD....Also for many other systems on fords (air-ride susp on expeditions for one...):awesomework:

Never used the old brick. Currently I use the Verus which is an absolute amazing machine. For the European cars I sometimes use our launch diagum, but the Verus does the majority of the work. For at home personal use though the equis scanners that autozone and orielly sell are good units. I'm looking at purchasing one for the house.
A lot of techs are selling there old Modius scanners. Which is a solid unit.

anybody using a OTC Pegisys system? or a OTC Genisys system? Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Pegisys is still having problems as its brand new still, I use a genisys everday and its a really good little machine. I also use to sell both products and bang for your buck wise the genisys is the way to go as the pegisys is very costly! The genisys is also a pretty quick scan tool and when time is money thats always a good thing to take into consideration!

We've got the Genysis at work, and it does some amazing stuff....not quite as user friendly as the others mentioned, but once you figure out how to nav thru it---it works awesome...

Way more user friendly than the new pegisys though:cool: Most autoparts stores and trucks have bundles for the genisys too where you can get ob1/ob2 package with all the needed adapters or a heavy duty package if your getting into that sort of thing or all of the above with a nifty tool cart for it to live in as well all at a resonable price for what you get:awesomework:

My old shop had the Genysis. It was ok. I traded it in for the Dominator. Which is basically an updated version with better software.

How do these compare with the SnapOn Solus? Not much money difference between the Solus and Pegisys.

I've played with the Solus, and it is easy to work with...It replaced the MT2500 (Red Brick)....now there's the Solus Pro, and it's supposed to be easier to work with than the reg Solus, but I cannot confirm that....

This really depends on what you want to use it for. There are many stripped down models that are cheaper but more focused on certain tasks. At the house I have the Matco MD9001A, its alright but it does exactly what I bought it for.

This new tool is pretty slick. Got a chance to play with it on my dads ford truck tonight....

The Solus Ultra is a fantastic tool! This is what I use at work and day in and day out it performs flawlessly. The only thing better is the Verus, just because it has a labscope built in, same with the older Modis. But yeah you will be very pleased with your Solus, good buy!
