Started on the rear shock towers today.Jeep has some rust for sure in the passenger rear.Made them tall and wide enough for the intention of running some bypass in the future.
Finished the towers today and man it stiffened this thing up even more. All 3/16 steel was used.Tied into the inner shell on the jeep and the rear stiffner. Then a cross bar to tie them together.l left enough room to eventually run a 12" 2 or 3 tube bypass. The rusty cheapos will do for now
We hit 3 lbs today and her lungs are about to normal capacity.Plan on doing some rust repair in between visits on the jeeps floorboards and get to mounting some corbeau seats finally.
The replacement axle for the polished turd has started.Picked up the dana 50 for the 9in front build.Thinking $50 was a good deal.Want to run 5x5.5 on the front and rear.Going to get UBs redrill/
bored for 35 spline from Branik and try to make my own brake kit.Might have to drop the coin on branik hats and rotor down the road but we will see.
As of today 4lbs 7oz,In an open crib and on 4 hour cycles breathing on her own with no oxygen. She has been a trooper and is about ready to breast feed.
Pretty successful weekend floors finished, seats mounted, dana 50 striped and Cs cut.And most important time with Bailey.Looking like she will be home by the end of the month.
BIG progress for the little one.Was told Tuesday she will be home by thanksgiving.
Posted the front axle, steering and tcase for sale sold in 30 minutes.Front 9in is in full swing.
Started working on the inner C bushing/tube reducer.Kinda cut the Cs a little crooked so made my bushings a little long to get a set lenght.Machine a peice to stop the tube a .25in from the end of the C like the dana 50 wash. Then made my reducer bushing for the 3.5in to 3.25in tube out of 3.5x.25.Press right in and bored the bushing to .005 over the 3.25 tube dia for a nice slide on fit to set caster later
