Ive got an owners manual sittin on my backseat that i still havent touched since todd used my truck
I looked over it last night and--what does the blue button on the right side do? I assume the adjuster on the left side is for sensitivity and the thing on the bottom is the manaul switch?
You got it. The button on the right is for the "boost" level. When you are braking, it sends a little more power to the brakes depending on your load. There are 3 levels they show up on the controller as b1, b2, b3. And if you hold that button down for 5 seconds, it puts the controller in reverse mode so the brakes don't do wacky **** when you are trying to back up.
I use the boost and it really helps if you are tailgating and need to hit the brakes hard, keeps your junk from getting the swerve on.
just outta curiosity what is so special about this brake controller over other 100$ controllers?
there are lots of other controllers that are in the 100 range that i dont consider junk, i am just wondering what makes this so special, because the looks of it on the net looks pretty chincy to me
Reverse mode??? I guess I'm gonna have to go look at the manual again...The controller itself is retard proof. And it has a fancy reverse mode for when you are backing your trailer up. :awesomework:
