question?

Timmie, you got to get out west. I know you could take upperhelldorado, one blurp and you would launch that bitch up the waterfall. Theres also a couple of trails in area BFE that no ones ever been up or atleast very few. I think you could takeem all. You would be the most hated man on pirate by the west coast boyz if you aced everything out west.
My personal take between you and Mr.Dan, is that you ride camera or not and Mr.Dan was more for the camera.

Here is a new video that looks like it was filmed completely east of Oklahoma. I think it was all fillmed "BT"

That's "Before Timmie" pepper.gif

You might second guess that when you see where you might land. The hot tubs are on hells revenge you can do the whole trail in two wheel drive. Escalator is on Hells Revenge also easy to do, but one slip up and your over. The one big thing about Moab is the cliffs you can go off of. Alot of the trails are easy , but if you did make a mistake you could roll down 100-1000 foot cliff and some are straight down.

My first time out to Moab, I was in a Phat rig that weighed in at 5200#. It walked 98% of the stuff out there with 115# WB and a healthy motor.

The other 2% was some straight vertical stuff like Upper Helldorado and the Car Wash hot tub (wet) Those things just kicked that fat pig's ass.

4th time I went out there I took my 106" WB, 2500# rig and it bounced up everything out there without breaking a sweat. Did all of the climbs at area BFE, Coyote and on the old trails.

Some of that crap looks super easy on film, but when you get there it is like "****, that is steep"

The first vehicles to ever get up Upper Helldorado were heavy, long rigs. It was the WMS guys in those huge Jeeps. No one believed it.

Now I have seen video of just about everything from full bodied Jeeps to comp rigs make it. YOu just have to hit the line just right. Tim's rig would laugh at it.

Same with the Hot Tubs.

Moab is the best. I love that place more than anyplace, but it is not for the hard wheeling, but the FUN wheeling and the scenery. It is increadible.

I am going out in 09, should have a buggy by then. If the right opportunity comes up I may go out next year, just depends. Gotta go at least once!

I only know about half you guys, but if your going, and you set a date. Let me know. I should be able to work it into my schedule. I really want to wheel those places before I have to move on to a 4 seat school bus of a rig.

What is the best time of year for Moab? We could always pick you up on the way Wyatt and drag two
Been there in June/July and it was hot, but bearable. Also in late Sept/Oct and it was great, but they got rain and when it rains it RAINS. Still wheeled nearly every day. I forget teh 3rd time, but it was on my mtn. bike and a parks tour, but it was ****ing great.

I do want to do Moab, but I want to take the wife and kid on that trip because of the scenery and general lack of HARDCORE. Just go trail riding, see the sites, take some pics, breathe the mountain air.

That'd be a great trip and hotel it at night. Did that with the ex once and other than typical drama between us it was a great time. the parks are great, scenery is awesome everywhere.

I like Spring the best. Nothing like getting caught in an ice storm in a buggy on Rusty Nail 15 miles from the trailer and 15' from sliding to your death.

Summer is too hot.

Last 2 time I went I played for 3 days on the hard trails and flew my family in to Grand Junction CO and did trail riding the rest of the week.

There is plenty of hard stuff out there, dont get me wrong. Best to go with someone familiar with the place so you can see all the optional lines....

Yeah I could not get locals or anyone to take me to pritchett, so rusty nail was it with a cool cat from SLC that stored his jeep in Moab and just came down on weekends. 7 days was enough to cover everything and then some. Day drive each way.

the times we have went out there was in sep. and it was not to hot and not to cold
and the hot tubes are cool (see avat.) and the escalater was easy, pritchett was bad ass
patato hill look easy but them jeep guys hatet it
