Realistic cost to convert YJ Juggy to skinnable buggy

I don't plan to do anything more or anything less with whichever way I go. The weight and visibility are high ranking things i'm looking for. My rig is pretty comfy for what it is, i've many say it's one of the better trail rigs they've ever been in.

I don't really have much to compare it to though....only passengered a few full tube rigs in my outings. Only ones I didn't like were the Kirkey seat ones. The other had the random entry level suspension seats by different brands. Felt good. Way too loud for me...but you could see so much more and you could really FEEL the weight, or lack there of.

I probably should have just commited and bought the TJ that Jesse built / sold on here then was for sale again. I like that one alot. Basically my rig, but updated with lighter motor, coilovers.

...oh, and i'm not bored with it. I like repetition and routine and dependability. I could run Trail 15, Schoolbus, Cadillac, 3, 16, 23 all weekend long and have fun. As long as nothing broke. :)

Also, I do appreciate everyones views and opinions. Good to get all the cards on deck and see what you have.

I may get in some toilet Googleing on some cut up YJ's with 6.4" of mid-frame left and see whats going on. May end up on PornHub but at least i'll be productive.

His or his builders attention to detail? Chris Roes seems to be a badass when it comes to building buggies. Also Doozy was a bad girl too.
Whoever built it, its super clean.. i didnt ask him who did the labor, we just talked about his buggy

If you want to be able to see more put a bus door in the passengers side fire wall like ours. you can open it and see the passenger tire before it contacts a rock. And close the door when you are running down the bypass trails.

I must be thinking of a different guy.

haha nah, he's definitely a good driver when he chooses to be. When he brought doosie to GMP he made everything at the park look easy with mainly good line choices and minimal throttle. Hopefully he brings his new JHF portal buggy to the SE here soon. It definitely looks like a going machine. I'd be interested to see what a smaller engine with crazy clearance can do down here.

Good idea on the door, on my big Ford truggy I just cut holes in both firewalls so that I could see, it helped alot.
