Meh, probably 50lbs less. The only thing I could do to truely lighten mine is Spider 9's and an AL motor. I am doing neither so I don't see it getting much lighter

Hell that is light enough, I can't believe Nolen is so light now. I know its because of his axles though.

Thats a lot less than you had thought. i thought you'd said it was supposed to be 3200 but ended up being like 3800.

You saw mine, full race trim 3500. I'll be going to LIGHT skins after this OK deal. And ditching a few other non-essentials. but really maybe I get to 3425??? At KOH I bet I'll be close to 3700-3750 crossing the start line excluding 500lbs of Fat Kelly and Fat Wyatt

Seriously look at your rig and ask yourself, how could it be lighter? Its near impossible huh? Maybe you get to 3200 in a single seater. :dunno:

How much lighter is a Hi9 than a 14bolt? i wont ever make that change as I dont want to ever worry about my rearend being an issue. If i do break my rearend I will know that I never lost sleep, or thought time thinking it could be stronger.

My rear Spider9 weighs around 200lbs I believe. If it goes boom, I will put in the 14 bolt.

Nah, I weighed mine at the dump and it was 3580, I was told 3250 initially. I see no way to make it lighter. It is all aluminum except for the chassis. My links are small DOM and a solid 4130 Tie Rod and it is all being replaced with aluminum but I am going with larger heims on the lowers. I can probably get it to 3500, but no lower. My rig with Spider 9's and an LS motor would be 3225 or realy close which is what Carl's TC rig weighed in at. I think with a single seater you could get below 3k. Jesse Haines rig is like 2500

I was disappointed also...at least the rig is well balanced. Even with me and some gear its 3600# and within 100# at all 4 corners.

It is REALLY hard to get a buggy with any size/strength axle under 3000#

Dana/Corp axles are fuggin HEAVY. That is a good thing though. They work and mostly don't bend and break at the housing.

My old buggy had nothing in it and no motor and it was a svelt 2500#, I was very happy when mine hit 3300#, I was expecting more, but the more I look at it, there is very little I could do to go lighter.

My skidplate is bad ass, but it weighs over 100#. Some plastic would lighen that up but, meh......I am about to add 400# in water for the Katemcy trip so whatever.....

That is pretty cool that the dump scales were so close to the bling scales.

Yeah the dump here has to be accurate, I was low on fuel when I weighed there also, so the 10lbs is probably gas. Those scales that john have are trick as hell. Love them!
