That was cruel, you shouldn't get my hopes up like that :booo:

But hopefully we can be enjoying Reiter again soon.

Is there anything to hike other than Isabelle and the Wall???

There's an old wooden wheel from the mining times (or something like that) in the woods somewhere. Some mines here and there, etc.

Or......every motorized trail ever built.:redneck:

bad idea IMO.....

I agree. Stan pointed out that it was not his idea either. His boss told him to open it.....
IIRC the road to Issy is open to non motorized/ bicycles as well but only up to May creek???????I don't care much about them so I didn't pay attention. Maybe someone else can clarify?

May Creek Road open to Horses and Mt Bikes from the gate at Reiter Road to May Creek. No trials, just road and nothing across May Creek.

Deer Flat Road open to all ORV, but no trails, will be patroled and tickets issued to anyone off the road.

We all need to let them know it is a bad idea
It's closed and we are going fast towards getting it open with trails. May 16 we are marking trails for the next step. I think we all need to let DNR know what we feel.

I think E mailing here would be the best way to start

[email protected]

Mine is already sent
I think this is one that we need to make sure that they don't do it.
1 it will cost a lot of money to open the road
2 it will put the current project behind scedual with staff having to deal with the opening

the only reason they are opening it is because the promised that they would open Reiter this spring and don't want to go back on there word

I say do it right or not at all

Its interesting as to how the DNR closes things. Big story on the news tonight about a DNR worker who was attacked while walking with a group of greenies at tiger mountain. The news folks interviewed a bunch of hikers/ walkers that "use the area regularly" Problem is Tiger mountain is supposed to be closed due to the budget issues. Imagine what would happen if we used a closed area :booo:
