Renovation of a YJ

No pictures, but the exhaust got done yesterday. We also got a mount for the York that works so that is mounted. We picked up most of the fittings to finish plumbing the OBA system.

Well, the rig is ready for the trip to Moab, thanks to untold hours and amazing skill by Kevin.

I am just going to repost the picture of how it began and then a picture of the YJ sitting in the driveway yesterday.

I am going to pull the spare today to shoot some better pictures of the mount. I did the lift in two steps - first on to a 2 step ladder and then up to the mount.

Nice work Kevin and Jim. Jim, let me know how the mount holds up after your trip. We may also have to get you some rings for those wheels... when you get back of course.

We picked up the YJ from the shop of the painter today. Lee's son, with a lot of help from friends delivered the most amazing paint that you will ever see on a true trail rig. Jimmy does very highend paint and body, primarily on very rare vehicles, which means that he really doesn't get to do things that he would like to do. We gave him some general guidelines, but full artistic license. He totally blew our minds.
