Reworking the tired Toyota Pickup

got a few things done, pieced together a dual fill kit for the shocks. lots of parts came off of an old hvac gauge set. hoses rated to 2k psi, works great except for the no-loss schraders. the cheaper ones on amazon are junk. sent them back and ordered the AVC ones. probably into it $160 now.

then had a *great* time welding the bed back together. I know im not alone in hating dirty sheet metal for welding purposes. took forever but at least its out of the way and my crap wont fall out of the truck bed.

also got the tie bar on the shock hoops, and buttoned up a lot of odds and ends. looking cleaner now, almost there...until the power steering pump stopped making pressure.. seems like the pressure control valve is getting stuck in its cylinder, so gonna need to add that to the list of crap to do

oh yeah, and I took it for a drive on the road for the first time... Just to get gas. The clutch slips as it approaches full power. I'm not happy about that. No easy fix there, and I dont know whats wrong. Maybe the clutch has too much throw and bent the fingers on the pressure plate. Maybe its the wrong pressure plate. ?! crap.

Well i forgot to take any pics of the problem. Maybe i was too embarrassed.

Pulled the trans at my neighbors (real) shop, lift and trans jack made it 1000 times easier than it would've been without it.

Sooo...I can't math.. the clutch slave cylinder was about 3/16 too deep into the pressure plate. The throwout bearing sleeve was even hitting the clutch disk. Whoops. Got it sorted out though, she does burnouts for days now.
