One of my buddies who is an inexperienced Rhino driver decides to get behind the wheel of this beast! Shes a grade a pos been through hell and back the exhaust has just fell off but it still runs and the lockers work. He takes a turn in an old baseball field close to my house and almost rolls her then completely stops and turns the wheels hard left and stands on it. Rolls passenger side and almost barrels over but sits back down. Passenger took a chain that was in the bed of it to bhe back of the head and driver was ejected through the windshield. I remember seeing him fly out in the fetile position and hits the ground and rolls a few times his shoes come off in the air. He swears he heard the passenger screaming "what the ****" when he was flying past him. this was one of a few roll overs but by far the worst. Had already had the free Yamaha doors and the oh **** poll put on at the Yamaha store. Didnt hurt the Rhino Except for the shifter linkage coming off.

I don't move mine without a seatbelt. That said, I have had one since they came out in 2004 and I have never rolled one. Just some light flops when rockcrawling, but hauling ass and donuts and stuff, it is easy to drive out of it. I go into every drift or donut knowing I will need to possibly drive out of it. These things are narrow. Fun as hell, but narrow. Mine is going to KOH in place of my buggy...that is how much I love it.

We have tried and tried to roll by budies new 09 RZR with no luck yet, them thangs are pretty stable cause of the height, but I am sure it will happen sooner or later.....especcially since he is gunna "chip" it.

Explain this. Why are you not taking your buggy?

Carl is taking his....they ae more or less identical so since neither of us has a passenger I can drive his if I want. The Hammers trails are fun, but I have as much or more fun playing in the desert. I had Jim's RZR out last time and I wanted more time with it so I am just going to Rhino it at KOH.

No longer with Cuz I presume. Where's he at?

He works for the Heating & Air company that did our AC install when we were building. I talked to him some about it

Bad situation, bad outcome for all. Hate it for the guy, but good things have come out of it. I believe that leg minders are not an option on new Rhino's anymore, they come factory installed. Is that right? thumb.gif

Correct, and they installed any on older ones for free that wanted them.

There is also a class action suits against Yahama for the Rhino Roll Overs. Or at least that is what the lawyer adds lead me to believe.

After all you did in yours, I am happy to see you and all your appendages in tact. Good thing you bought the extended warranty. :flipoff1: molaugh

You guys need to be more careful. Someone could have got thrown out and pinned or crushed when the vehicle slammed down on the cage.
My In-Laws have friends who's son got killed because he got caught under the cage when it flipped over. The other person was not strong enought to get it off of him, and he was suffocated ...
When people get injured on things like this to many times, they finally take them off of the market, just like they did the 3 wheelers.
I had a friend get killed on one, but I loved the things, and I wish they still made them. To many people got hurt or killed, and there ya go...

Be careful. 8)
