Holy ****, this site just instantly became Pirate4x4.com ala 2001.

Just kidding, but back when EFI was considered a pipe dream for most wheelers and the baddest-ass buggy out there was running a d44 front the backwards q-jet was all you ever heard about on Pirate. Ton's of q-jet tech there.

I played with my truck avenger again today, lowering the float levels helped dramatically. I believe between that and fuel Pressure a carb could work fine, we did some crazy **** today and I didn't have the first problem .

Here is a dual mixer setup that can handle 650 hp without a problem. It is very simple to set it up and go.

Only problem with the dual mixer set up is it cost so much. You can buy a fuel injection kit for a hair more, and have none of the drawbacks of propane.

If you need dual mixers to feed your woopow an 8 gallon propane tank won't last long. Fuel becomes a pretty big inconvenience.

Depends on the amount of fuel and air the engine requires to, if you have a mild engine than you can get away with a carb but if your running a engine that would normally have a dominator on it good luck with that. I tried the whole carb thing on my old buggy and could never get it to work, tried the dual mixer setup and worked real well except for being lean, then tried MFI and it worked good for strait wide open hill climbs but not trail riding, finally bought EFI and haven't looked back.

so 2001! Truth!

Then yes it will run great on propane. Mine ran real well until higher rpms then it would start leaning out and fall on its nose. Hard to beat the simplicity of Propane and propane accessories.

A ole Q-Jet will work decent along with the Predators.

Really all you gotta do is tie the two vent tubes together so when shes up on end it doesn't run out and dump into the carb. Simple old trick that we were doing back in the late 90's.
