Rubicon trail

Had a great time, although the drive is VERY long on bias ply tires! This trail is non-stop pick your line. (and pick it carefully) Started out with 5 in our group, ended the trail with 4. It was my Jeep, a black TJ with 35's open front and rear, a YJ that was sitting pretty low but locked front and rear, a CJ-5 with rear locker, and a Scrambler locked front and rear. Monday we ran a nearby trail that runs to Lake Barret. (this trail was probably more difficult than the Rubicon) Ran the Rubicon Tuesday and Wednesday. Besides the CJ-5 that didn't make it out (yet) there weren't any major issues and I crawled through everything without a problem except Little Sluice. (Lil sluice scares me now that I've seen it up close!

) I highly recommend tubes fenders and plenty of armor, these rocks aren't very forgiving! My sister is getting married tomorrow so I had to leave, but I did all I could to get the CJ as far as possible. Enough with the babbling, heres the pics!

Carnage! First, a broken frame, then a broken steering box. This old Jeep was slowly taken apart by the Rubicon. (RIP)

Cadillac Hill. This hill climbs 800ft in elevation with some nasty ledges.

Sweet pics. Did you take the little sluice bypass, or drive around it.

Yeah, I got my ass kicked on the Box bypass last year. I intend to make it this year.

Here is a pic of me there last year. While It looks fancy, my rig got to hoppin and tried to sling me back into the box, so I opted for the winch option. This was after 3 or 4 tries of hammer down, spinning tire smoke shows. And nothing to show for it.

The Iroks do awesome! I only had to lock it up a couple times, but that was when I was doing some of the harder stuff. Ran 5 psi and they grabbed very well.

We just got back today. We went up with 3 Early Broncos and 1 CJ7. Here we are at the observation point after the climb up cadillac.....on Tuesday 7/24.

Supafly, did you drive the Jeep the whole way down, wheel the con and then drive it back? If so thats very commendable....:awesomework:
