Funny when you google search this thread shows up on the first page.
I heard "rumor" through a local source that 1/1/12 is the date, and that the new ones will be 925's not 900's.

I dont know if they will be accepting orders on Jan 1 or if its just an announcement of the model to come.

If you are serious, I bet you could call the dealer of your choice and put down a deposit. Most good dealers know when a model is coming even when it's "under wraps". Friend of mine did this on a bike a couple years back so he would have the first in town and start ordering bling like Ti exhaust, programmer, etc.
