sami rear end question

i don't wanna know hahha. i can guess, gotta start somewhere im waitin for mr longfield to build some zuk axles one of these days

Brent at Trail Tough sells some pretty stout Chromo axles for the Sami housings...very reasonable prices too!!!:awesomework:

Kevin tossed some yota axles under mine and I'm all better now, I used to run 1" spacers all the way aroun so I'm not really any wider than I was before, but being able to wheel without snappin' axles every, and I mean EVERY, trip out is a beautiful thing. I've got sami rears all the way around and no track bar, works great.

get off the gas when she starts bouncing. that third bounce seems to be the breaking point especially in the front. I think the rear is a pretty safe bet with 32's but we will soon find out...

I'm not a lead foot, more of a finesse/tire placement guy, I flat won't bounce my junk. I was running 33's and lockers, they snapped lookin' at em.:haha:And fer christsakes don't try to back up.

I never broke a sami axle, just twisted a few rear axleshafts running 33" LTB's...

well i think your one of the first that has had major issues i have talked to..maybe you forgot to crank that welder up...or were you just using aluminum rod??:masturbanana[1]:

i got a buddy with a sami hes welded front and rear drives on the street everyday with 33's and has broke one birf in i don't even know how many years. he beats the piss out of in the woods to. I don't know what to think. he always says keep the tires straight and don't let her bounce

It was always the front, never the rear. Also used to have revolver shackles in front w/ no bumpstops. Start dragging tire in the fenderwell going backward and it's all over. I've heard the chromos are a good alternative to swapping in yotas, if you keep the tires 33's or smaller. When the yotas went in Kevin deleted the revolvers, which made it way more stable/predictable. I'm runnin 35's now and it's a whole new rig, huge improvement, even though it's open up front now.

When I welded mine up I looked at the shafts and they were good so back in they went and if they snap then its in with the yotas:awesomework:. But now I have a rear axle seal leak:mad:. Better fix it before Naches on the 23rd:mad:
