Since you asked Symon623--Waynes toy..

Well let me see......its usually over 100° here from mid-May to mid-September so um.......I'll be need in the vents.......

Grntaco, exo's are good for pretection if done right but damn their ugly...:puke: Although I do like TB-F's exo how it goes through the fenders.....he goes to RR alot and has been all the way to his lid and not hurt the cab.

Hey Crash, wanna put one of those in my Tacoma?
X2

Although I need to do something with that damn fancy sub box back there and the amps that are trying to fall off the rear wall :D

I thought about doing an exo/flat bed but I just really don't like the style of an exo so maybe Mike can perfect on your truck then work his magic on mine :haha:

Why not incorpurate box mounts in the back b-pillar of the cage?

I would want to do something like that...and amp mounts too as the rear wall isn't really strong enough to hold them. The current fiberglass box was custom built to fit the extra cab so it would have to go.

Ya---but an exo is not your style....

This I know. Easy is my style.:redneck: I don't have a place where I can tear out the dash and do the the work over time. I am limited on shop time here since I have a business to run........

Soooooooo should I drop it off this weekend?

I am 100% sure I could pull of a good EXO but like Crash said it ain't my style.

Never a doubt, but to make them look good they have to be run tight to the body, but then there's issues when you do flop, that the cab will flex into the cage.

One way or another your cab is going to be trashed in a hard roll...probably less so with an exo but I think an internal cage would offer better protection to the occupants...and afterwards you just take a sledge to the sheetmetal and pound it away from the cage :haha::redneck:

I agree.....I'll be doing an internal cage in mine, hence the curiocity in this cage. D

Here is how I did the b-pillar mount. Since the toy body dips down for body mount I made a spacer so the plate will wanna sit flush and not squish

Here is the plate itself

And the rear hoop/b-pillars are right where I want em..

Mike question:

how do you plan on doing the welding of the a pillar to the b hoop?

and then any door bars to the b hoop?

the reason i ask is i have seen many cages come from places that do this for a living that were not fully welded. bad idea IMHO. just curious.

do you leave enough room to get the welder in there?

It will be fine :; You havn't seen me weld have ya :D

A well built ncage doesn't rely on its welds anyways (not saying its no important)..

If wayne dies :D Then you guys can have at me :D
