SMORR KOH Qualifier

Matt spots arent disapprearing, if anything I think this event has the potential for the most players to carry forward. Look at RCQ almost 10 pre-quals. This is only 6 currently. Those muthafuggers are hard hittin. This is Dereks back yard. Loren is FAST, like f-ing stupid fast. saw him in the open at KOH and couldnt believe how fast we was. Eric Miller not enough experience IMO to be truely fast, he just floors it and **** has worked out. Travis Watford, damn good driver, could be faster

. I mean you dont have a Woodlee, a Lovell, Mooneyham, Ridgeway, **** you got a damn goiod chance of qualifying for KOH '11 but who gives a rats ass, this is a race, race this race, and if you do that let the cards fall where they may.

I think we ended up with around 10 people for our pit thats whats so great about this race being close. At koh last year we had 4 people total and they had to help out other teams as well so yeah it kinda sucked.

Ava is a good 20 -30 minutes from the park. I have relatives that live very near SMORR and in Ava. Its in the middle of NOWERE. Looking forward to seeing everyone and watching some axe-shun ! :dblthumb:

Meh, it is what it is. Lots of folks are pissed about it I am sure they will let themselves be heard prior to the race. Maybe the promoters will offer more than 3 guaranteed spots, considering all the time and money put into this. Seems like only west coast races get 10 guaranteed spots per event, oh well. Really hard to beat the best of the best in this sport, especially without racing in a long time. So I am not expecting much, just hoping to qualify. It'll be fun, lots of friends will be there. Car should be ready, it sure looks good not sure yet on function...

This is only a few hours from my house , Do they allow spectators ? The hammers sight don't really give any good info . Nor does the Smorr web site ? any info would be great .

Thanks Wyatt, "could be faster" is exactly what we are hoping for. **** being conservative in this race just to qualify, already being qualfied is a huge amount of stress gone. Now we can relax, have a good time, and beat the hell out of the car! We learned a lot at RCQ. I had a new co-driver, who is badass, and we worked well together in the car. We made a few costly mistakes that kept us from being top 3. Only 1 racer passed us while we were on course, the rest passed us in the pits. But we know what we did wrong and that won't happen again.

You are in the perfect spot. Kinda like gambling with the houses money.
You're in, now you can go out without that pressure and hone your killin' it at high speed.

I never felt like Kelly/Miles and I were ever fast until this past fall in Disney for DC2. That was the 1st time I felt comfortable at such an elevated level of speed. I wish we'd had that comfort at KOH, the whole its smoother the faster you go. Kinda hard to push through the envelope to get there. Now I'm carless. :-[

Get after it, nerf MattO, and Jab and get after it. :woot:
