This snow crap can go away, I got stuff to do. If I was still single, I'd just stay at the shop for the next couple of days and work on some projects. Wife can't stand to be home by herself so I'm about to head that way since it started coming down.

It's gonna get nasty if they don't get side streets plowed and this refreshes. What part of town are you in? Fayette county got a good blanket of snow.

I'm in East Memphis near Poplar and 240. I don't think Memphis has any plows.

This amount of snow has shut my town down, all schools out, everyone leaving work early etc. People up north probably gets a good laugh at of this.

Schools out here in north Tx, due to flu.... no snow.
It's dam cold but due to how bad flu has hit the schools are calling off. City school starts week off tomorrow, county school still going but waiting to see...

It's crazy that the flu is bad this year, but its crazier that it's bad nationwide, east coast to west coast, all at the same time.

How we roll in North Mississippi with snow.

Got about 4 inches of snow right outside of Murfreesboro, Tn. Went and ran the roads earlier (had to make sure 4wd still worked :dblthumb:) and the main roads were passable, but had their rough spots too. The side roads were awful and the temp is dropping into the single digits tonight, so :JRich: ice all around.

Yup I'm from Ohio and I get a kick out of the big deal the south makes when it snows or cold, it's only been above freezing I think like 3-4 days since Christmas up here, gonna be -6 in the morning when I get up to roll my tarps

Only about half crew showed up at work tonight, nothing to do so I left early.

Roads were treated earlier today, so they are easy to drive on. Although the side road leaving work and the parking lot was a little slick. Not too bad otherwise. Driveway is covered, but not much accumulated in the yard. Oh well, maybe next time.

It is kinda amusing to see how people farther South react to snow and cold weather but on the same token I understand it all. Not used to the temperature and the state and counties don't have equipment to clear roads. And it's not feasible to own it either for only a couple times every few years.

Same as my sister lives in Minneapolis. No way I would want to be there when some days the high may be -15*. No thanks!!

The picture I posted earlier is 100% spot on though. I grew up in that era when we seldom EVER got out for snow days. It had to be either ice or 8-10"+ of snow and then it was a slim chance we would be out. Now schools around close for practically nothing. Like if you don't use the days you lose them :dunno: I know some are factored in for the year but if we went over we just went some of the holidays we would normally be out for
