So, when did the nut swinging begin?

What got me into it was going to new years rides at the "hippy farm" in summer town back around 1999 or maybe before. One of the coolest rigs was the yellow cab truck s-10 with chrome stacks and 44 boggers. Good times had on those PowerLine

Wasn't a few years later that witc opened.

Man those were the days back in the late 90's...they called it Hangover Run which was very appropriate. I still call any run I go to on New Years Day Hangover Run in homage to the event. There was a guy name "Pede" that was infamous out there as he would literally run an engine till it blew. He will always get my vote for the original carnage king of Middle, Tn. Kinda hard to bounce a cab truck, but he was the man that would do it. Dude probably still don't even know what the internet is.

I don't have any old school photos of his rigs but he ran this one in the early 2000's. A real work horse. Notice the duct tape bumpers...hahaha...priceless

At 2:49 I am walking around the front of my maroon fullsize Cherokee. Been a lot of beers ago.

That was P period D period. or P.D. He was such a blast. I doubt he does internet, last I heard (about a year ago), P.D. had become a preacher.

P.D. is correct. I don't know about the preacher thing, but the last time I saw him he had been saved and completely turned around.

Only time he wore. Shirt was when it was below freezing, and then he only put in on like a jacket. Never buttoned the front up. When we would go to Gardendale with him he would pour transmission fluid into the stacks on his cab truck (so it would smoke like a big rig). Then 1/2 thru the 1st day he would get hot and take the doors off of his truck and leave them on some trail for the rest of the weekend.

Dan D gets my vote for first bouncer, he sure knew how to give it hell. But them summertown cab trucks or hybrids where fun and P.D. Snowman and them where fun to ride with and them trucks could go for what they where.

Neat to see these old vids, I cringe at some of the safety issues. Its great that we as a community have came far enough to recognize these and correct them for the safety ourselves and of our friends!

X2 on the safety thing, I don't know how more people didn't get killed, or maybe they did we just didn't know it.
