I need to see if my credit card option works on my paypal account. Quick, someone paypal me $1.00 on paypal at [email protected]. I'll give it back, I swear thumb.gif :flipoff1:
if not, I need to get my website finished up quickly so I can paste teh "buy now" button of html code in it. I have an order on ORI's already, and need a way to handle the **** from over the pond (soldier in the sand). Anyone have a better way to take CC's that doens't kill them in overhead to keep the account every month? like a simple per transaction deal? I havne't looked far enough into it.

****, okay, just trying it by logging out and trying to send myself money from my other email addy, it wants you to have an account to even put a CC in. I hope that I can vend on a website without everyone that tries to buy from me having to have a paypal account. ::)

You can also easily reverse the payment and not incure any fee.
 
Take it and run it across Clints machine at rounders and have him pay you
Then make sure the customer knows there cc will say rounders.... No idea if that's possible just thinking out loud.
 
There is a company that will set you up a credit card machine and you only have a fee when you use it. I think the name was credit card machines or something like that. They called me trying to get our business a few weeks ago.

he doesn't have a separate machine, just his computers. its all batched automatially too. kind of ****s with his records. I just need to get a machine, but this was going to be a band aid until I do. I still have a day job, so its tough to decide how full on to go. I'm already too busy with side work :dunno:
 
Call Telechek. Large nationwide company that does check processing and they handle cc machines as well. I have a friend that worked for them for a long time.
 
Kelly, try RBS Lynk. That is who we use at work. They do not charge if we do not use it, and all the companies that call and try to see if they can do any better, cannot. Worth a try.

When I started, it was hard to find someone that would set me up without a retail store front. One guy asked me to take a picture of my store front, I emailed him a pic of my laptop. I told him, I was a virtual business.

They charge me monthly:

Statement fee - $10
Gateway Fee - $15

Plus 2.34% of the card total. This is higher than large storefront businesses, but lowest I have found for what i do.

Everything I do in over the net. I approve the card over the net and all. I do not have a swipe machine. Call me if you want to talk further.
 
John, can you / do you upcharge the customer that percentage for using a cc? Or, is that just a cost of doing business?
 
I've got a halfway done layout gotta finish up a few loose ends on it and then set up the database back-end for it so you can add products/vendors as time goes by when you like. I just need to get the stuff from your end to get a good start on it. Email me all the info you want on it to the email in the PM and I should have it knocked out in a day or two. Once you get that paypal thing figured out I'll throw it on there as well.
