John, can you / do you upcharge the customer that percentage for using a cc? Or, is that just a cost of doing business?

It is against your card holder agreement to upcharge. You can give a "cash" discount though. 99+% of mine is credit card as I am an internet exclusive business. Every now and then, someone will mail a check or money order, but not very often. People like the protection the credit card offers them. Yes, it is just a cost of doing business, just like paying $700 a month to the search engines, and I only bid for about 6th position.
